Freshman Band - Attendance Policy
Attendance at all rehearsals and Performances is REQUIRED !!!!

If there is a problem or conflict, a written note or telephone call must reach the directors 3 DAYS prior to a rehearsal and 7 DAYS prior to a performance. the ONLY exceptions to these rules are sickness, accident or emergency.

Roll Call will be taken at each rehearsal and performance. A tardy student, without a valid written excuse, will receive a reduction of 1/3 letter grade for each occurrence. An absent student, withought a valid written excuse, will receive a reduction of 1 full letter grade for each occurrence.

A student who is tardy or absent for any reason will have a period of 2 school days to have their parents call or meet with Mr. Busch and Mr. White before their grade is lowered.

ALL FRESHMEN WILL NEED TO ACQUIRE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

Uniform Fittings, Dinkles/Marching Shoes, and Marching Gloves

Marching Band Uniforms are provided by the school and fittings are free of charge.

Dinkles & Gloves must be purchased, normaly at the time of the uniform fitting.
- There are times when “gently used dinkles” are available for purchase at a reduced price. If you are interested, please ask Kathy Proctor about this.

The PHS Uniform Manager, Kathy Proctor, is in charge of all uniforms and fittings. Dates and times for fittings, both in the Spring and during Summer Band Camp, will be posted on the PHS Website Calendar. 2. Pep Band Shirt
This is available for purchase at any time, cost is $20. (available through Kathy Proctor)

3. Other Essential Clothing Items:
Black Shorts, Black & White Socks, White Sleeved T-shirt

4. Flip folder for marching band music and lyre

1. White sleeved t-shirt to wear under marching band uniform- must have sleeves
2. White Marching Gloves
